'89 R3500 Crew Cab 2wd to 4wd conversion & beyond

Started out with 2wd TBI350 with SM465 to current 4wd with 454, 700r4, NP241
You are going to need longer cables....

To shift it from the bench while wheeling.
It'll stay down on the floor. :D

I've thought about having it up by the trans shifter but I don't need too shift it often enough to go to that trouble.

I love my console with all my shifters. Its the only way to go. I think its the cats meow having all the shifters in reach while fully seated is the way to go.
You don't see people in a Ferrari having to bend over for anything except to fondle the chick in the passenger seat :pimp1:

You need to look harder...

I see between 3-5 a month.

And then the lambo's.

But summer time plays a factor...

I don't see Ferraris at all. :haha:
So take this:

Mix in a little of this:

Yes, I'm sure the only nutjob to make the connection. I did always want a G-body Cutlass 442 Hurst/Olds with one of those shifters. Wannabe Lenco shifter look and all.

I don't look where you're looking. I try to avoid that mass of humanity.

Although I did see a Lambo a few weeks ago. He was headed quickly out of town likely afraid that the cow smell might become permanently stuck in the interior.

I see a dude in a yellow Diablo pretty regularly around Pueblo in the summertime. And contrary to what the northern CO folk might think, it wasn't rolling on 24" wheels or spinners or any low-rideresque type equipment. Just some dude mobbing around at 6:30 am in a stock Diablo.

Every time I visit your thread, it makes it harder for me to not turn my crew cab into my main wheeler.

Pulled the trigger on this:

Main reason is because it has 4 modes so I can program it for all the gear ranges in the tcase.

The Quick4 has a mode called "Manutronic" that allows manual shifting of the transmission via electronic means. I'm thinking it would be cool to mount a couple of momentary buttons on the steering wheel, one button is upshift and the other downshift.

that US SHIFT unit has SOOOOOMANY functions in its price point . more people should look in to it .
I've been reading through the manual and I keep thinking there are a lot of cool things it will do. The only thing that I don't like as much is the display. I wish it had a little boarder display screen with more data on it.
