No! I need him to engineer this so I can steal his idea. I've got the same issue to deal with using a K10

Endo bar?

So things didn't go as planned with the spare tire carrier. I had planned to drop the tire down into the bed about 10". Built a frame for it but when I went to cut the hole I ran into a couple stumbling blocks. First, there was a frame cross member right where I wanted to drop the tire down. Second, the frame is only 33" wide which is the same width when it's dropped through 10".

So instead I used the frame to hold the tire in the bed kinda like we were discussing above.

Then I took some time to add some graphics to the tailgate trim panel.

I like the tail gate .

The tire mounting is driving me crazy...
I can't really get a place I want it. I didn't really want it stood up. Flat it takes up a lot of room

At least you have it mounted directly behind you. Don't see it as easily as on the passenger side.

It wasn't in the way on the passenger side but I think it would be more of a nuisance in a regular cab tho.

I thought about laying it down or just angling it so the top was even with the top of the bed. But like you said, that eats up a lot of bed space with the tool box too. I was really bummed my idea of dropping it in the bed wouldn't work. Still bummed to be honest.

Regardless I'm still very happy to have the tailgate.

You are going to be attacked by Trump haters as a racist for this you know. flagwaver
Luckily I live in a pretty conservative county/community so I should be okay. The pro-sasquatch sticker probably scares people more! :rotfl:

Yes, no plan to change that anytime soon. I do think I will eventually do this (drop the tire into the bed floor), but not until I replace the bed. I think it'll be easier to do with the bed removed from the truck.
