If I’m spending that much, I’ll go get them myself! My fuel bill to BB and back with the prices down should be about $1300 this year. Get your credit card out.![]()

Tie rod ends replaced. Only the driver side was bad but I did both. I suspect the passenger side was okay because it share the load with the draglink.

Also I've been playing around with front shackle length since the beginning. I was hitting the frame to start with. I didn't want shackles that were too long and messed up steering geometry.
I finally jumped up to 6" shackles from 5". They were longer than I needed. Nobody makes 5.5" so I made the po-boy 2"x3/8" flat strap shackles.

Laugh my mother fockin' ass off!Nothing says 700 dollar springs like square cut shackles lol
Having a case of the Wade's?Have we met?
Actually looking at my picture of the badass square ended shackles, It looks like they shoulders of the upper bushings might be even bigger diameter than the 2" strap.Once I know for sure this length will work, I'll do something nicer. This being the 5th set of shackles, I didn't have the motivation to put more effort into them. At the very least I will clip the corners and round them down some.
One interesting thing I noticed on the old bushings. The shackles I took off were 1.5" wide and I could see where the edge of the shackle was wearing on the bushings which have an shoulder diameter of 1.75".
You're never going to live this down...Actually looking at my picture of the badass square ended shackles, It looks like they shoulders of the upper bushings might be even bigger diameter than the 2" strap.
