That's awesome
Am used to non symmetry in cars, starting with the steering wheel. Here's what I ended up with for the license plate and rear winch. Kind of a DIY version @swettysblazer linked.

The plate has magnets bolted on the back of the bottom.

When the winch is in use, the plate can be taken off with the knurled screws and the magnets will hold it in place out of the way.

Some might ask why I didn't just mount the plate off to the side. I just couldn't handle the lack of symmetry. Then I'd have this blank, slightly recessed spot in the center that looks made for the license plate but instead it would have been mounted off to one side looking all unbalanced.

I thought that too, but then it blocks his fancy schmancy camera. You could make it flip up and then you wouldn't have to worry about removing it.
I thought about a hinge but then it's gonna be swinging around all the time. When it's hinged up, it would be in the way of the tailgate. Maybe not much of an issue. You could make it flip up and then you wouldn't have to worry about removing it.
It's just a $40 ebay cameraI thought that too, but then it blocks his fancy schmancy camera.
When I set up the cargo rack I realized it would completely obscure the rear view mirror so I added the camera. But now I'm not sure I want to go without it. It covers my blindspots really well. And if I'm winching behind me it might actually be useful.I did think about making a custom plate sized to fit the area above the winch where the license plate was before. You could balance it out with an angry duck plate on the driver side.

That would be nice if it would all line up right.I like the idea of the magnets. What about a hinge with the magnets to hold it up, when you want it up, and another holding it down, so it doesn't flop around?
What about having both red and amber with the brakes? Is that acceptable? Many semi trailers have both amber and red. Cars have one or the other. Nothing would be illegal in colorado with having both red and amber blinking.
