Just for a reference, here's a pic of my Blazer with no lift and 33x12.5's.... It looks like it might have a lift, but not much at all.

1" add a leaf's front/rear, with 33x12.50's, for comparison.

Looks like a 2.5 front and block rear would be my guess

clear on.. just time to cut and buff out tomorrow and the paint work is done!

Its not perfect but i'm happy with it. its close the factory color as I could get with out going with PPG, its their omni economy line.

nice work man! looking forward to seeing it back together and all cleaned up.

Pictures after todays work. Cut and buffed out all the clear coat runs, removed most of the taping, have some stubborn tape I'm going to wait for the paint to dry a little more and I put on a few trim pieces to see what it would look like.

My grill and bezels looks real bad now. The grill has a piece broken off at the bottom and the none chrome parts look crappy. Might have to touch them up with some black paint.

Overall I'm really happy with how it turned out, it is no where near a show rig but its a suburban and my first start to finish paint job. Done lots of body work projects but never seen one all the way through. Usually my old man ending up spraying them.

As for the color, I was planning on direct factory but at the last minute in the paint store, the omni match to the origional PPG paint code gave me 5 different versions. For one, this was the cheapest but also seemed to have the most depth, the darkest option closer to the original didn't seem to have as much depth. And like the guy at the paint store said, if I ever change my mind and really crave the origional two-tone again it wouldn't be hard to add the silver (doubt I will).

So now to make some room in my garage and bring it home to continue putting trim on it and remove the knocking 350. I need to round up small parts such as gaskets for all my door handles. This kind of work will be nice to do in my garage. I had to send a picture message to my sister in law... shes part to thank, if she hadn't helped finish off the dying 350, who knows when I would have gottan it painted.

man, I'm getting antsy...

I'm off all Christmas week, I'm snatching off the front clip on my burb, swapping out the motor & tranny...and drilling & mounting the front spring mounts. (it's currently 2wd)...gonna order some of these so they'll be here in time...:waytogo::waytogo::waytogo:

it will be running under it's own by new year's..well, running better...It does run now...kinda...sorta...technically:whistle::whistle:

sorry for the hijack...I've been accumulating parts since 07, and I'm tired of waiting!!

These build threads have pushed me over the edge....:haha::haha:

BTW, your truck is looking fine

Nice, it looks really good and that is almost a perfect match for the paint I want.

Good work.:thumb:

Nice job on the Burb, any idea on the hours invested? I have a 1991 with "the paint that won't stay on" blues.

Alot of hours sanding, took alot of 80 grit with the DA sander because of the chipped peeling paint. I looked into paint stripper, didn't look like too much easier. Sand blasting would be the best bet. I stretched this project out so song due to trying to find time I have no idea in the exact hours.
