UGH!!!!! :sign27:
Got the engine in the other night and today was putting things back together when one exhaust manifold bolt wouldn't thread, I moved back the manifold a bit to see and grabbed my light only to find a broken off BOLT! SON OF A!! Only if I had noticed that while the engine was still on the stand. I guess between that and needing to get another water pump shes not gonna run today :dunno:

Oh and put the old engine on the stand and flipped it over and found a couple of these :eek1:

At least those are from the old motor, when you posted that pic on the other thread I was wondering if that was the new motor...

I haven't breathed easily yet til I start this new one up. I was hoping tonight but another trip is warrented to the auto store. :what:

Slow progress between working 55 hours a week and managing to little kids I'm getting it back together. Most of this afternoon working on it today and I had to remove the fancy chrome valve covers for the stock ones. The hole placement for the PVC was wrong... doesn't look to exciting but oh we'll

Been so busy with work and weekend road trips I haven't had much time, but its back together and 1st start attempt to night revealed that I need a new starter, no surprise but a bummer since that's not happening till payday :doah:

After some starter issues and getting the distributor in right she fired right up! :thumb::woot:

photobucket doesn't embed for some reason...

I took it around the block and she ran ok, I got some bugs to work out but getting much closer. And after a short drive the cranky trans starting shifting normally. Shes gonna have to spend the night outside so I can clean the garage tomorrow, its a major mess.

So exciting I know how much it killed you to park it. Bet you can't wait to really get to drive her!

Yes and have a vehicle that gets around good in the winter it barely needs 4wd compared to my k10 which has to been in 4wd for 2" of snow. Also stoked for when its fully functional to spend money on fun stuff... like ck5 stickers!

Alright! the old 350 I just sold tonight to an engine builder. Anyhow I started messing with timing and I read you are suppose to unhook a wire from the EST and time to 0, is that right? Which wire cause if I unplug anything it wont start. :dunno:

Plans? Oh yes yes I have plans that would involve ORD but that would probably also involve selling my k10 which I'm not such about yet. I would want maybe 2.5" and go for the best ride so bilstiens would be a must. How ever for now its little stuff tto get it all back together.

Got a battery for it today. "Reconditioned" basically it was a warrenty return because the customer couldn't figure out how to charge it from fully drained. Got it 50% of a new one!

Also repainted the grill with a similiar charcoal color, its almost hard to tell but I knew where it was faded before, also with the plastic painted I notice the crappy condition of the chrome better, oh well :dunno:

It was a factory match paint from the paint store. Medium charcoal for a mopar. It is fairly close maybe a little lighter.
