89 Suburban is gone....added a K5 in it's place..87 V30 WONTON

Some wd40 might be crudded up.
Other than physical blockage, if it will adjust part way it should adjust the whole way

Thanks Wes. That's my next plan of attack. I don't see anything stopping it, but I'm also working in short bursts so I'm not real efficient right now.

Try reaching under the seat on the pass side and feel for the release wire coming over from the drivers side.
Pull on wire while rocking/pushing back on seat. It helps if you can have someone on drivers side pulling release handle and rocking the seat a bit.

I'll give that a shot as soon as I have some help. Outside of family (they have their own lives lol) I'm short help around these parts.

Funny thing is it feels smooth and had good even movement, it just stops short.

Steering wheel install on hold for now. I have the OEM pulled and ready for aftermarket cheapo wheel. I had to stop due to 19 degrees outside making my dexterity almost zilch (nerve damage) kept dropping the smaller bolts / can't thread properly. So later tonight I'll be using the Buddy Heater in the cab and headlamp to finish up.

Wait a minute here Las Vegas guy who likes old trucks moves to Idaho and doesn't get himself a shop? What?

Only took 9 days to finish the steering wheel . I'm definitely a ways away from being where I was but forward progress is still progress right?

At least while the wheel was off it was a theft deterrent.

In this weather the jump box has been getting a workout. I can recommend the JNC770.

We are in the negative teens at night and single digits during the day.

I dug out the Mr Buddy heater yesterday for shop use. It works well for keeping me warm wherever I'm at. This one replaced the biggest one Mr Buddy has and I was worried it was not enough, it is working well though. This single can unit is quite a bit lighter than the dual bottle. Camping use is yet to be determined. I do take the bigger tank when I can but the single bottles last overnight on low.

What’s that white shit everywhere?

Now that I have the 1 ton rolling around I need to do some things to the Blazer. @Greg Ducato can you send me some info on building a TH400 or rebuilding mine? Also possibly supplying a 6l80e.

It’s been a rough ride past couple years. I miss my Blazer Bros. Hopefully 2024 Blazer Bash will be a go.

I was just thinking about you and wondering how you were getting along. I was going thru my sticker collection and a Metroprint Nevada sticker fell out on the floor.

Long time since I've checked in on my own thread.
@Fastereddie and I have pretty good concept idea. (I think lol) I would like to pick your brain if you have knowledge of linear actuators. I'm going to need to adapt some handicap features to my 77.

Attached is a 30" stroke actuator. Stroke size TBD. There are 10, 20, 30 & 40" lengths.

Any members here that could share a little knowledge would be appreciated.
