90 k5 Blazer "Jenny Lee" build (NEW GEARS!!)

You bet!
I was in forestry when I was younger and worked at a Husqvarna dealer tuning saws for a few months.

Built a hot 281 xp that I still have... Fun to cut wood with it!

Well its official, Yesterday I took the Blazer to the shop for its new rear end enhancements and the new CV Driveshaft. Hopefully in a week or so she'll be done.

I need some help. The guy at the shop installed my new springs and the SYE kit. The pinion and T Case are co-planer. The drive shaft will be at a working angle of 14 to 15 degrees. While the drive shaft will be in phase is the working angle to large? The drive shaft guy says it will be fine but I'm thinking about a CV shaft. Any help will be great.

Well the rear end is done. I might need to add a shim but I'm going to run it for awhile to let the springs settle. As of now there is no more vibrations and no more noise coming from the rear. 6" TC springs, rotated axle, sye kit, and tom woods driveshaft.

I had to jump on this while I could. The wife wouldn't let me spend the money but then she found a new car she wanted. A long story short she got her car and she told my to do what ever I wanted to with the tax return. I didn't wait 30 minutes, I had most of the parts ordered before she could change her mind, LOL.

Been there done that!! I usually have orders queued up ready to go just incase that exact scenario occurs

Smart phones are wonderful for that.

My wife once said you know that stuff you need for Horton, go ahead and order it.

She then walked into the living room 30 sec later to see if I had heard her.

She said did you hear me? I put up my phone screen with the order confirmation. She just laughed

Thats awesome! Well worth whatever it cost you.

That is a solid looking K5. 89-91s are a good choice. Can't wait to see what you do next.

For my next project I am going to be doing an 8 lug conversion to the 10 bolt. I have been collecting parts for a few months. Should be fun, I've never done it before. I got the parts off of a 1986 3/4 ton suburban, they where the only hubs I could find in the local area. I'm going to be using my 1/2 ton calipers, do I still use the 1/2 ton pads or do I need 3/4 ton pads?

1/2-ton and 3/4-ton calipers are the same size externally. You should be fine with either set of pads (if they're even different).
