90 k5 Blazer "Jenny Lee" build (NEW GEARS!!)

Going to love those gears! my 87 K5 with 700R4 and 35's only turns 2200 rpms down highway at 65.
 
You will definitely like them. Mine turns 2400 at 70 and the ratio is perfect. It has great power tooling around off road and should the day come I drive it on the street again it's got plenty of power there.
 
Yes i have been waiting a year to get them installed and I am stoked. Really looking forward to taking it out in the woods for camping, hunting and most of all getting firewood. Also looking forward to the performance gains I hope I get.
 
:D:D Well got the blazer back yesterday after the regear. All I can say is I think it is the best upgrade that I have done to her. She glides down the road, has more grunt and the trans shifts way better. Can not wait to get the 500 mile break in over with.
 
Just reading over your thread. I saw the problems you had with the steering gear. One of the best things I ever did was crossover steering from ORD. It takes a lot of stress out of the steering system and a lot of problems go away.

I will have to look into it. Everytime I go to the ORD website they are always happy to take my money :)

Yeah, no kidding! I'm sure you know about these Blazers being notorious for the frames cracking around the steering box and if you every flex that driver side wheel up real sharp and try to cut the wheel and get out and look at the (forgive me for not knowing correct terminology) short tie rod you'll see what an incredible bind it is in. The crossover also takes away the possibility for bump steer.
