'90 K5 - The Nevada Blazer [Post 1437: School me on alternators)

I'm sure it's in here somewhere, but I can' find it. How far back is you rear axle, 2"?

Here's the new shop space, still needs to be set up. Most of that stuff you see there is gone out of it now. We're still finishing up the move. It's not large enough to fit the Blazer inside, but it'll provide a fine work space. I've never had a shop big enough to work on my truck, so this won't be anything new or problematic... it's a helluva a lot more than I had at the apartment!

And here's the new place. :D

It's got a saweet rock garden out front... makes me want to test out the truck. :D

Hard to see in this pic, but the rocks would be pretty great for crawlin, and testing out suspension mods.... but I won't use it. :(

Dog is loving the acre for running around. She's much happier here than in the apartment. You can tell in her demeanor. We bought her a kiddie pool to lay down in, as this place is awfully arid. We'll be real happy here for the next couple years. On a 100* day, the house naturally stays at 75*, so I'm pleased about that.

Driving the Rubicon next month, so here's my list of to-dos:
1. Route my e-brake cables
2. re-torque all my bolts
3. build sliders
4. move the trailer hitch to inside the stock chrome rear bumper for increased clearance.

Body. I bought the mounts from DIY4x, and I am just going to add some rectangle tube and some tree tubes.

I missed it...rent or own the new place?

Looks neat either way.:thumb:

Oh, it's just a rental. It's a real nice place, actually. The yard is a total mess, but that's OK. The desert landscaping just means no maintenance on my part. We have a nice view of the mountains, and the sun sets right there in our line of sight, so we sit out on the patio and watch it set while we eat our dinner each night. Really peaceful and quiet up there, which I value. Living in this "big" city stresses me out a bit, so it's nice to have a bit of a get-a-way.

2 months ago, the owners replaced all the windows with nice double-pane, vinyl windows. They also put in new carpet in the living room, and painted the house inside and out.

Still in the process of getting it all set up and artwork hung, but it's looking pretty nice.

Bedrooms have hardwood, which we like. So the only carpet we have is the living room. We really don't much care for carpet in general, and would have the whole house be hardwood if we could. So much easier for clean up, especially with owning a dog.

...especially the comedy of "goofy black dog on hardwood slipperiness epic comedic gold."

...or maybe that's just mine.:D

Nice looking place man.

Looks killer Colby!!!! Nice place. Less Yard work= more exproring!

Put the bedframe on rubber pads. It can end up on the other side of the room.:D

Missed the old blazer so much you bought a couch in the same color? :woot:

4 coasters on the end table and the beer bottle is still sitting directly on the wood....

I'm sure it's Claire's fault, right?

:haha:

You guys are funny! :D The beer bottle is an attempt to make stains on that stupid IKEA end table so I can make her replace it with something good... or give me money to build her a cool one. :wink1: The damn laminate just won't stain!!
