90 Suburban Build Xtreme Offroad TV - Body Work

I agree with what you guys are saying, it's just that I was excited to see an end of the world project. I watch the show when I can, Ian does interesting stuff.

Finally, some pics from Facebook

I love where they went with the whole 6x6 thing. its definitely different.
but part of me just cant help but think "end of the world 6x6 = 2.5 or 5 ton military truck" it already exists.

Oh, goody, i missed another update. This is how a lot of factory 6x6s are on the rear. You take a single inverted leaf and create two 1/4 elliptic setups out of it, one forward and one back. This is just mockup at this point, he said final install will get a crossmember tube that goes all the way through the frame from side to side to support the outboarded inverted leaf springs.

yep mack trucks have used it on public roads for years now.

beffyer spring and more bent angles for setup but same concept.

@skunked you've been slacking, there are more updates available, mind doing your magic and posting the pics here?

There is another twist to this build now. Every time I think I know where he is headed with it he throws another curve ball in the mix.

Wonder if he's going to add some bushings or have another solution so those bolts don't eat those slots.

He said he will have delrin (hdpe) washers riding in tracks for the finished product. There is also a big difference here from normal slider boxes in that this is a compression setup vs. the tension setup that most people are used to seeing.

Is he going to plate the area the delrin will ride in? If it was thicker (at least a 1/2") I could see the delrin lasting.
