8 gal of fuel, a new fuel filter and no pump whine / pressure. :(

The battery is at 12.0?v and I’m getting 3.57v at the pump. Going to charge it and see what it’ll do tomorrow.

Disappointing

Make sure you check the ground from what the pump grounds to to the battery. So frame to battery or body to battery.

Is the ground good??

I’ll check them tomorrow evening. I know they can still be the issue but, just to say it out loud, I didn’t disconnect any wiring during the swap.

Yes, I’m certain it would have spun over and cranked on whatever is in the carb.

I haven't been able to mess with it yet. I may try tonight, it just depends on how much school work Mary has.

Any luck yet John?

Finally spent some time on it this evening and everything external looks good but no fuel pressure.

I’ve got 12+ volts on the tank side of the connector that’s about 18” from the sender. I cleaned up the ground coming off the sender. All of my ground cables going between the motor / body / frame are good.

Looks like I’ll be pulling the tank Saturday. Bring on the suck.

(kinda wishing I had a trap door but I just hate them visually)

The trap door, or just a removable panel like mine, is covered with the rear cargo mat...
Oh wait, you are skipping some of the nice things...

Yeah, no Silverado left in it anymore except the dash emblem. lol

I also have a small chest in the back that is likely half on / half off where I’d need to cut.

My morning FB score, $50 for the set.

They are all either chunked up or bald or chunked up AND bald lol but 1 is good enough for a matching spare.

So, the fuel pump is a Bosch and of course the connector is different from oem. The adapter pigtail is the problem, the pins push out real easy and even with I get them to stay in it’s hit or miss on 12v. I’m guessing the pin to contact fit is super sloppy inside the plug.

Same basic thing happened with my e fans.

Similar overseas quality. lol

It runs now but almost dark so I’ll test drive it tomorrow. Pressure looks good, fingers crossed that it holds at WOT.
