91 V1500 4WD "Clifford" Build

i bet the three of us could get it done in a day, at my shop. air tools, a forklift, plenty of room...

yes, thats the high end for leaf spring suspension but it's still cheaper than what I'm running, and i'm not done upgrading mine. it's expensive but if you can do it, i'd do it.

That would be amazing and way more fun than sending it off to shop.

It's getting hot here, hitting high 100s this week. With that being said, my AC still is "cool" at best, would like cold!

I took the rear AC hood down, and was trying to find out what was causing a massive rattle. From as far as I can tell, this might be to blame.

Some (about 33%) of the blades are broken off, I would assume at the rate this thing spins that cant be good. This needs to be replaced, right?

Yeah replace that thing, the rear blower is not optional.

Why can't you use your current wheels for the 12.5" wide tires???

Just snagged one of these on Ebay for $20, seller says its squeaky but from the pictures all the blades are there!

Score!

Is it worth the extra 400 bucks to get new rims to use a 12.5 wide tire over a 10.5 rim I currently have on the truck?
In a word, 'no'. The 10.5 wheels will easily fit a 12.5 tire. Reserve that $400 for suspension and other driveability/performance bits.

I have 35 12.50's on my stock 8" rallys. I think that's about perfect. In fact, when I go to 8 lug, I'm still getting 8 inch wide wheels.

EDIT, oops, I misunderstood. lol.

I'm all in favor of NOT spending money. hahaha

Alright cool, thats gonna lesson the pain of the suspension cost from ORD which is just over 2k.

Thanks David.

Alright, so I can get a 12.5 wide tire and have that fit my 10.5 wide rim? Can you tell I am a total noob when it comes to this stuff?

Cheers!
