91 V1500- "Smokey"- Camping/Hunting Rig

Forgot to take pics of the butt, I promise it was very tasty. We just had BBQ nachos with the leftovers. Yummmmm

Love me some pulled pork nachos. We need a BBQ thread in the lounge:D

great score on the new rubber too

After getting some more info on the tires/wheels, they are actually a 305/80R16. A little bigger than what I was wanting, but can't pass up the good deal. Hopefully I won't run into fitment issues. I'm not cutting any sheetmetal on this one:D I should have them this weekend.

Thought so, never heard of a 305/80 series.
Least not in the US.

That's looking great!

You know Martin will be hassling you to paint the wheels white.

I know, I was thinking about painting them the same color as the body, but haven't decided. I know white is factory, but now sure how it will look. I love how the "Polar Bear" turned out with the white steelies, but that burb was white as well.

Anybody have photoshop skills that could do both options?

Just go white. You won't see that much of it with the hubcaps anyway.

Not the best quality picture.

Alright here is my try at doing both options with paint. Not the greatest program in the world. I do like the white, but kind of like the grey a little better. Of course the tires will make a big difference in appearance.

Finally got the wheels and tires on this afternoon. My buddy brought them to me this afternoon:waytogo: They were a nice deal for wheels and tires. $400. Wheels are black for now, that's the way they came. I like the way they look, but I may get the other set powder coated white.

Got the shocks painted up and got them installed. The TC's will do for now. I will eventually but Bilsteins on.

Things left to do
-check all nuts and bolts
-bleed the brakes
-figure out the steering. Feels really odd and doesn't return to center. I remember replacing the sector shaft on a wheeling trip years ago. Might need to check adjustment. This 2wd box was on my Jimmy.

That looks awesome! :thumb:

White/ Black I don't care. I want white on mine but went Black cause it was easy will go white on my other set.

I actually liked the idea of the grey like you said before.

Anyway looks sweet Man! :waytogo:
