You can swap the tailhousing and shaft into a chevy case. I was going to do it for my K5 but the stock setup actually works.
You can but it’s a little more involved than just that, and imo not really worth the gain.

awww man, now I feel bad. I have 2, one is 27 spline input and the other is 32 spline input.

Small update on this, had the day off yesterday so I decided to yank the 435 so I can disassemble and see what is making the cat through a paper shredder noise….I have a few spares so I pulled the noisy one and swapped a different one in….

After about 20 minutes wrestling that 205 back into position by myself I seriously contemplated just swapping it to a 241. Test drive yielded positive results until the clutch slave cyl shit the bed :poop:

Well the Arizona can ended up being a bust….needed a driver side floor pan which I was fine with but there was rust around the back window so I was trading one problem for another…..ended up getting this one instead:

Fresh from Texas, probably the cleanest cab I’ve ever seen. Pretty sure you could wax the floors

Need some thoughts and opinions from those I trust. Gonna be ditching the track-loc Dana 60 rear limited slip and upgrading to a Yukon grizzly locker. Is it worth the $562 to upgrade to chromo shafts at 30 spline? Or bore out the spindles and go 35 spline? Or just run stock 30 spline shafts until I break one? Tire size is 35s currently, 35-37 being the biggest the truck will see.

My theory is run what you got til you break it a time or two to necessitate an upgrade. Unless you just wanna spend money.
