97 sas'sy Sierra/ 80 Cheep 10: tales of a phat block

Haha that river silts always been fun, ive walked home my share when I was younger after getting dirtbikes and whatnot stuck in there.

I used that fan controller on my V8 S10 project. Its a nice piece and its a lot more reliable to have the temp sender in the coolant rather than one of those you stick in the radiator fins. However, it did burn up on me in traffic one day. After that I made a jumper wire I kept in the glove box to bypass the controller just in case :waytogo:

Well I figured my luck the rad fin one would get dirt in it and not work right. So the screw in was the obvious choice :D

No Real Update, went to the lake last weekend. Opened up an old trail that my grandpa cut into a remote lake 20 years ago.

Might as well toss a couple pic's up:

Our helper for the day hard at it:

I did pick up a 50 amp rocker switch as an override switch. Might get a chance this weekend to work on it but I doubt it

I think I'll put up a sign on my favorite dirt road that says the bridge is unsafe. Maybe that will keep everyone else off of it. Ha! Probably the reason they put that sign up there is so they won't have to maintain it.

It's so strange to me to see a dog just lying there being all calm and well mannered too. My dog is a pit bull and she would be going wild and causing havoc inside the boat. I'd probably be ready to throw her off the "unsage bridge". :haha:

Let the good times roll! :D

haha yeah this guys always been good in the boat, oh wait he did jump out once when he was puppy. Only once though :haha:

Yep, I have a 75lb female all blue Pitt and she jumped outa my truck at about 30mph once, and only once. She dont play games like that no more. Drove 9hrs all the way to Prattsville AL for that dog, smart as a whip and strong as an ox, drags both my kids all over the yard as fast as I can run. BTW I love the Tri-z, I had a ATC 250R, the last year it was available watercooled and all, thing was awesome for a 11yr old. haha, mama took that away real fast, I have an 86/87/88/89 250R 4wheeler now all lowered and stretched for MX/TT racing. Cant ride it much anymore after I broke my hip on it when I was 17, but itl run around 92ish down the backroads, love the sound and smell of a 2stroke. All my buddies love that thing since they all have the newer 4 strokes and mines the only one around. :woot:

A 75 lb. pit bull??!! Mine only weighs about 43 or 45 and she's waaay too strong for her size. If she wieghed as much as your dog, I could probably get rid of my winch and just let her pull my truck out when I get stuck.

You must have one of those "XXL" pit bulls or a bully dog or something?

What this has to do with this build thread, I don't know. :dunno: Sorry.

Really, nothing to do with it, it just shows our natural progression of talking, its kinda like bar talking, it goes from women, to trucks, to more beer, to watch this....

Is that a remove rezzi for your PS pump mounted next to the ALT? I have been kicking this idea around for awhile as mine overheats even with the cooler, and I hate reaching all the way down and filling it. I have seen people use radiator hose and extending the filler neck, but Im wonder how they do the remote mount one instead?

BTW, I bought her from www.powerlinekennels.com She's not one of them nasty looking bully ones, them things are pukes with paws, she looks exactly like a regular ol APBT, just alot bigger and much more stocky, still the same face and structure, not that wrinkled up English Bulldog face, I want to smack the people that breed them dogs under a APBT wrapper.

Sorry for the highjack, I'm jealous of all your wheeling though, you always have new pics up of local stuff, we only get cornfields and only in the winter after harvest season on empty plots.

Yeah its a factory tank I believe. Must be a hydra boost thing :dunno:

Yeah theres lots of places to go around where I grew up, I know live 1.5 hours south. And you can hardly drive through a ditch it seems:haha:

So I guess Ill consider myself lucky bout having a bunch of gravel pits and trails out my back door growing up :D

Yeah Im not sure why I ever bought the Tri Z, was one of those "stupid not to things". But it does haul ace too, it will do bout 70 mph stretched out. Kind of scary in a ditch :doah::haha:

No tech update really. Got an early snow up here. Did a lil test bagging, all seems to be well. Hauled some wood today, took my truck too. It doubled as a skidder, as the old man's C20 wouldnt have gotten to far off the trail easily. It seems very few and far between I get to put it to work:

It looks great. But please, be quiet about the snow talk. Im not mentally prepared for it yet :doah:

If it makes you feel anybetter, theres pretty well enough snow here for a good ride on my RMK w/2" paddle. lol.

Well got my life flipped upside this week, long story. So I booked the week off. So we went for some more wood today. Yet another techless post :haha:

Got another couple inches of wet snow today, made for little traction. Had to tug the old mans C20 a few times before we got it loaded.

My non tech update :pimp:, fired it up to move the sled trailer around the yard last weekend. Figured id go for a test bag after.....well turns out when I went to shift gears I had no clutch :doah:. Had a slightly entertaining drive home, turns out the clutch rod off the pedal broke due to the stupid body lift needing the rod lengthened. So out came the ol Clarke and I buzzed it up for now. Not sure how long it will last this time :haha:

That is all.

Now that the forum's back up, guess Ill add my update......again :doah::waytogo:

Last time we had it out the brakes went out on it, and I had noticed a loss of fluid. The weather finally decided to cooperate here. Turns out the Master cylinder was leaking,so off to my buddy's junkyard. I snagged a pretty well brand new master cylinder off a 1 ton chevy bus. Cleaned it up, bled the brakes. All I have to say is the truck has never stopped better and the rear disc's are working how they should now :thumb:

Might have a poser pic up in a bit
