97 sas'sy Sierra/ 80 Cheep 10: tales of a phat block

Was a good day all In all.

Got a vid I gotta toss up of me climbing a steep long hill in low/bull low at idle. Thought it was neat. It impressed the gf anyways :thumb:

Edit: stupid sideways pic

Yeah was nice to get out and drive it. Put 80 miles or so of back roads, fields, trails. Über nice

Those tires have some awesome traction to stay stuck on that vertical cliff face like that. :haha:

The pic was correctly oriented on my phone however. :dunno:

Picked up some timing tape, prob monkey with it a bit late Friday. Bump er up a couple degrees and see what happens :waytogo:

It did sound like it was skipping and cutting out when you first got on the gas, almost like a bad plug or wire, but since it smoothed on out when you revved it up, I'd say you could advance the timing a bit (like you already knew obviously).

It almost looked like you were going up a white sand hill in the dark with the snow like that.

Had er out on the weekend. Got some more snow since last time I had it out. Seemed to run better, still the odd hiccup but it was pretty cold out.

Seemed like the hubs popped out a couple times. Guess ill keep my eye on them. Torqued on it under load and on a hill and it popped them. But they might not have locked all the way

Of course an obligatory poser pic :thumb:

Working on recovering a snowmobile from a river, hoping weather cooperates this weekend. But it looks hella cold. If I can find the sled and hook it gonna have to winch er with le ton.

Yeah not sure where, prodded around in 6-12 feet of water on the weekend with no
Luck. Gonna have to use a fish cam me thinks.

You better get it out before the ice sets in. I just hope your truck doesn't end up in the drink too. That would be a shame. Although it would make for good pictures on this thread. :haha:

Haha it's already iced over where it is, 6-10 inches. Have to cut a he when I find it I guess.

Have to winch it up on the bank as its a 10 foot drop to the rivers edge, than another 50 plus feet to prob where it is

But like I said, I gotta find it first :haha:

:eek1: :eek1:

You're braver than I am, my friend.

Let the random adventures begin!

So I assume the rider was trying to cross the ice earlier this year then? I was thinking it had been down there since last winter.
