97 sas'sy Sierra/ 80 Cheep 10: tales of a phat block

Well guess I haven't updated this in a while. Mostly have been just driving cheep10. Had some wiring short causing no taillights. Tossed in a CD player, sure is nice to have tunes again.

Haven't really been wheeling the k20. Couple quick test bags though :haha:

Had the fleet out for a pic:

Well gent's, the time has come. After going back and forth all year I've decided that next year I'll be stripping my k20. To what extent Im not sure quite yet. The frame is tweaked, rotted, trans is popping out of third among a bunch of things.

Most likely motor and diffs are gonna be swiped from it for sure.

My 97 k1500 is in need of a front end. I've gathered that I don't wheel enough or as hard as I used to. Would rather have a more reliable, street worthy truck.

Plan: keep it low, 4-5" lift. One tons, np241 swap, run steelies/hub caps on Turdy fives.

I've had the 97 for 6 years now, used to tow the ex's horse trailer mainly. It's mostly been used to tow and as of last couple years minor wheeling. It's got just over 180 miles on it now.

It's got all bolt ons, wester's tune, 14 bolt sf out back with a Detroit and 3.73 gears and rolling on 33x12.5's on rally's.

Well, waxed up big orange, topped up the antifreeze, tarped it up for winter.
Slapped my old car cover I had for the 83 on it....not just a plain ol tarp!!

Gonna miss driving that old bomb :frown1:

Salt mostly, lack of inside storage space as well.

It got the luxury last winter of being inside, and I'd like to actually park in the garage this year.
