98 k2500. SAS'd and bobbed.

Glad to see you’re back! Too bad the food poisoning had to strike, especially on a weekend.

Thanks, I don't think I've been that sick in my whole life before.

I run the Wilwood and it has a built in switch https://www.summitracing.com/parts/...MIhKv9t9qn3AIVj1uGCh2wfw36EAQYASABEgIySfD_BwE
Should be able to run some adapters to make it work right?

Thats the one I was leaning towards just for having it adjustable. I keep telling myself I will go to rear disk but haven't yet. Ill probably keep putting it off until I need to rebuild the brakes. On that day Ill be glad I put an adjustable prop valve in there. Fittings wont be too big of a problem. Its kind of annoying since my tubing flaring tool is vise mounted so Ill have to take the lines out of the truck. the front lines are 3.16" so I can just pop on 3/8" tube nuts and re flare to fit that prop valve. The rear lines are 1/4" though and as far as I know they dont make a 3/8" nut for 1/4" tube Ill probably have to run adapters on that one. I can get a 7/16 nut on 1/4 tubing and I'm pretty sure there is a 7/16 female to 3/8 male adapter out there.

Is that switch output for the tail lights or for the dash warning light like the oem?

I've got that same valve.

The switch is for triggering brake lights. For a loss of fluid light, you'd need to go with something else.

That valve doesn't split the circuts either like an OEM valve. Yes, both lines from the master go into it, but the rear is kept seperate and can be dialed down. The front line gets split at the valve. But that is just brake presure from one master cylinder circut.

I got a phone call from ORD today. My sas brackets and motor mounts are on their way. So I suppose I should work on the truck. I managed to get it turned around in the driveway with some wheel dollies and pushed it in the garage. It looks like it will barely fit past the door once it’s done. Length wise there is tons of room.

I dropped the trans and t case out and pulled out the IFS. Tomorrow I’ll get the steering out and start cleaning the frame.

What do y’all think about the ARB bumpers on these trucks. I’m kind of torn. I love the classic ARB look but it’s $1300. I also like the ORD bumper and it’s not much cheaper. Or I can go with a Loganmetal bumper for $600. I kind of want the grill protection for potential animal strikes.

Both plate bumpers hand down to about where the spring hangers will be. The ORD one is a bit higher up but the spring hangers would still be the lowest point up front

I like the ARB too but also feel it’s too pricey. For what I do with mine I need the ORD. Again, pricey. If you like the classic looking look, and can swing it, go with the ARB.

Yeah. I’m not looking to rock crawl this thing. It will see Moab and trails. More of a road trip weekend go anywhere rig. I would take a tube bumper over plate any day just to avoid the bulky look. But those ARBs are just classic cool

Maybe not less expensive... I started adding options and it got expensive

Yeah I can get the arb $1300 shipped. That bumper once you add the minimum required options is already there plus shipping

Imagine having to make that arb bumper. The amount of time spent and materials. Then powdercoat it. It's a good deal.

Call this guy. maybe he still has the bumper for sale. https://classifieds.ksl.com/listing/52989284
