'99 4 Door Tahoe SAS Build, Taking it back a few years

looks BOSS!

how are the seats? Which model are they?
They are Corbeau. The Baja RS seats. They turned out ok. They aren't quality of Mastercraft or PRP, but they didn't cost near as much. The cool thing was that i got them to bolt to the factory seat mounts with no modifications.

Sweet! Looks bad as hell with those wheels. Like it means business, serious business. :saweet:

I may have missed it, but what are you doing for exhaust? Is the front d-shaft close?

Yes, the cross over pipe on the Vortec 350 and drive shaft for the drivers side drop are competing for real estate. I had to modify that pipe, relocate one cat to clear the passenger side shackle, and reroute the exit to go around the shackle flip in the rear. I'll add pics if i get a chance this evening. On the Suburban with the 6.5, I had a passenger side drop Dana 60. There was no crossover pipe issue, but the down pipe was a problem. It had to be rerouted some to clear the passenger side shackle. I cut it to bolt in the shackle bracket, and then took the rig to the exhaust shop when i was done and they modified the pipe to fit. There AIN'T much room!

Here are the modifications that had to be made to the exhaust system:

Not pretty, but it's just the exhaust.

I had just a little clearance issue I needed to address with the tire contacting front fender. I also need to tie the brake lines back so they don't contact the tire.

But, I didn't expect issues with the steering rod (drag link). I know I'm not running bump stops yet, but the rod is contacting the frame sooner than I expected. This steering rod is straight. The one I got for the Suburban had a bend. I'm sure the Offroad Design guys will have some suggestions. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow.
