Like I said after getting the dash back in today my creativity just kinda hit a wallI've been called #2 before, in not so many words...so yeah.
Most any other night i'd have been up, but I was sleepin when you called. Went to bed at 6 or something retarded. Needed a recharge I guess.
I like using rivet nuts for a slick install on stuff. Mounted my tablet mount to the dash in my Peterbilt using them...worked awesome.

Much cleaner and less annoying than welding nuts to the backside of something. The insert goes in, then a tool very similar to a pop rivet gun pulls and crimps them in place. Super clean install, and of course great for places where getting a nut on the back is impossible.

Digging that center console Mike ,turned out P I M P

Mike I just went back and looked at how you re-installed your dash.2 questions. did you drill and tap those screws into the top bar and how did you attach the pad. I'm at this part of the re-install and I just hit a wall on the pad. my old pad has screws moulded into the top and there is no way to use them now that there is a 1 1/2" bar in the way.Like I said after getting the dash back in today my creativity just kinda hit a wall
When I die my son is gona have a hell of a time reverse engineering this truck
