Awesome one handed update :thumb:

Thanks Jess. :waytogo:
Don't worry, I still have Adams and your HAD sweatshirts. Everything has been kinda nuts with my daughters Graduation, people flying in and blah, blah...
:D

Nice work Mike! That sure must suck with one hand.

Your buddy's Willys is Sweet! :thumb:

Thanks bud....and yes it does.. :doah: :haha:

The Willys is a 41 with a 95 jeep tub and complete fabbed bed. Doubler and ARB's. Pretty cool rig.

Looking good Mike! That looks like solid progress, cast or not!

Thanks Brother... Still waiting on the 1600 pics from ya. :thumb:

You did more one handed then I do with both haha :doah:

lol.. The problem is, when I have a beer in my good hand, all work stops like now.. :haha:

Awesome build! We gotta go wheelin when you finish it up! A ck5 rubicon run!

Sounds like a plan. Shoot me a PM some time. :thumb:

Going to incorporate any of that titanium you got in the build somewhere?? :D

I thought about it, but I didn't want to add any extra weight to the rig. :D

Some 1.5 hand progress. :pimp: They took the pins out last week so I was finally able to get a glove on. Spent Dad's day laying a couple beads.

There not great, but not to bad either.

On the bench..

That's all I have :waytogo:

Some week day progress. :woot:

Just has not been that good weekend time lately.

Anyways, now that the engine cage is all welded and bolted up, it was time to get back to the time before the gravity thing. :D

Out came the seat console thing for the rest of the work. Just ended up making the back end panel. But now, it's done and hopefully I'm over my motivational thing too.

Some pics..

Lots of room, just need some shorter bolts. Kinda like the Iron Maiden in there now.

Stellar work as always Mike! :waytogo:

Thanks Brother. You know I always like your feedback, good or bad.

Tried to call ya last week. Was looking for someone sexy to talk to. Eric didn't answer...... So of course, you were my number 2 man. :pimp:

I've been called #2 before, in not so many words...so yeah.

Most any other night i'd have been up, but I was sleepin when you called. Went to bed at 6 or something retarded. Needed a recharge I guess.

I like using rivet nuts for a slick install on stuff. Mounted my tablet mount to the dash in my Peterbilt using them...worked awesome.

Much cleaner and less annoying than welding nuts to the backside of something. The insert goes in, then a tool very similar to a pop rivet gun pulls and crimps them in place. Super clean install, and of course great for places where getting a nut on the back is impossible.

I told ya I would call ya back then you didn't answer nice to know I am number one somewhere even if it has to be in the twisted universe you call your brain

Digging that center console Mike ,turned out P I M P

Mike I just went back and looked at how you re-installed your dash.2 questions. did you drill and tap those screws into the top bar and how did you attach the pad. I'm at this part of the re-install and I just hit a wall on the pad. my old pad has screws moulded into the top and there is no way to use them now that there is a 1 1/2" bar in the way.:dunno: Like I said after getting the dash back in today my creativity just kinda hit a wall

Those are pretty awesome, Rene. Thanks. IIRC Dave used those around his gas tank bed area and I think Norby uses them too. Kinda forgot about them.

Sorry about the #2 thing. You do understand though, I hope. It's just that Eric is so cuddly and such. :thumb:

Twisted brain???? Read above man.^^^^ I just gave you a compliment. :D :haha:

Thanks for the props on the console. :pimp:

I'll go out here in a sec and take some pics, Chris. Hopefully I can help. You know how it goes. We have done so damn much to these things I really can't remember how I did that. Same thing happened when I took apart the front end winch, boxed frame, cage thing.

I was like, who in the hell designed this thing. They way over did it, and how the hell does it come apart. Lol

Cool. Ya I know that feeling build something then build something that attaches times 3 and pretty soon it's take the whole damn truck apart to get to the 5 min repair. It's like that for my rear shocks and bump stops. Remove the bar to undo the resi's to unbolt the seat to get to the top bolt to loosen the bumps:doah: When I die my son is gona have a hell of a time reverse engineering this truck:whistle:

Alright, here are some pics. A couple of things tho. This was a new pad from GMCPAUlS, I think. IIRC the old ones had seated nuts top and bottoms the new one just has the bolts on the top. There are little indentations on the bottom of this pad where I still need to drill a hole for a bolt.

It looks like a made some wings for the sides of the dash front and bolted them damn near all the way back by the vents. I think there was a channel back there I didn't want to get into. It also looks like I whittled down a couple of pieces of 1.5 till they fit nice behind the top dash bump. The skinny side of those go out towards the doors.

Pics

I hope that helps ya out. Seems to hold really well. I just need to tack the nuts to the back side of the whittled piece and she should be good to go.
