@Bent77 it needs 4" of clearance!
I’m still thoroughly confused. I thought he was borrowing a bender and making spaghetti junction behind his stock bumper for Helen Keller moments.

Yes but since he actually wheels his he doesn't want the tubey part to get friendly with the fender nor go through all of this fun that you are for clearance.I’m still thoroughly confused. I've got 6" I-beam bumpers. I'm not worried about deflection issues. Plus I don't ever have time for wheeling.I dont drive that bad. Anymore. With this truck
Shut up Luke you hurt my feelers!!
I forgot again...
Where da dimples?
Yes but since he actually wheels his
No dimples in sheet metal work...
Hey now mine doesn't get out much either. Simply pointing out the need for different clearances for different applications you know. Your entire setup will be way stiffer with all the cage work and such so I'm sure his whole truck has way more body/frame/bumper movement.-10 for the attempted slam....

So do you have room now for a sheet steel brace?
Just a flat peice of steel to brace up the corner of the tube. It will make a tremendous difference in the amount of deflection under a hard hit
If not I promise to not spot you and your Mt dew tin can bumper covers into a rock
[/QUOTE]What if you just don't run a fender and then it wont ever hit the fender?
