Any way, the truck has been quite reliable and I haven't experienced any problems that are common to v8 swaps. I have maybe one more jet change to make and it'll be all tuned in. Only problem that remains is an exhaust leak that could be solved if I could get to the bolt...

Also I just bought a posi out of a 90-something camaro, so thats also in the making. As well as I just bought some sheet metal for the hole in the floor and a new carpet to put in.

Also I did a rediculous burnout earlier today. I just need someone to hold the camera and a vid can be posted...

Thats awesome man! If I ever get my POS S10 running again its gonna kill me that I its only got a 2.8 in it.

It has the 7.5. I'm going to keep it since I'm not putting down too much power. Or until I break it... :doah:
I've never seen a pickup with an 8.5, but you can switch the little one out with an s10 blazer disced 8.5 pretty easy. Throw a posi in and be happy :D

I bet it is fun to drive with the T5 in it...I am going to look at a 92 with a 355 and th350 tomorrow. Not like I need another S-10, I've had my share and still have 2 and a jimmy. Never done or had a v8 conversion though so it's about time I think.

It seems like everyone just thows them together with a th350 or 400. The reason I say that is yes they are cheap and reliable, but the drivability sucks unless you put in some really low gears. I just see too many of them with that combination which while still streetable you couldn't pull of a daily driver without overdrive. I see them forsale all the time as 1/2 assed or 1/2 finished projects, do it yourself and you will know for sure that nothing is mickey moused.

I had planned on doing the swap in my jimmy, but always had other stuff going on and still don't need another project at the moment. I'm not sure if I'll get it, but figured it couldn't hurt to look at it. If it had a T5 or T56 I'd almost definately get it assuming it's not a complete hackjob. It has the posi 3.73 geared 10 bolt and the th350 has a manual valve body so I'm not too excited about that, but I do have a good 700r4 and 4L60E. If the price is right and it's well done I still may get it...I will know by this time tomorrow. I may keep it the way it is if I get it and just play with it at the strip though since my 93 wants a big block and will be done no time soon...just the frame will be worth more than the whole truck was when it was running so that one is on temporary hold.
