Torch and Air hammer FTW

the sum total of my day will be detailed on my build.... you have to drill 4 holes, do you want a boo or a full boo hoo?![]()
I feel ya. I remember blowing an engine back in the day and having to transplant something else in while on a gravel driveway and it HAD to be done that day so that I could drive it to work in the morning.Although, have you ever tried to move a motor/trans/TC on gravel? I'm not sure how I'm going to move it, and kicking myself for not putting down some plywood. The truck was too tall to get a good angle with my hoist, so I have a floor jack under the motor and a trans jack under the transfer case. I had a six foot pipe under the rear bumper, wife pushing, and daughter moving the wheel chock just to try to get the truck to move forward around the drivetrain.

uhhh...those cross members come out easier if you cut them in half....

crossmember came out easy enough. Use the grinder to take off the river heads and air hammer to push them out. Crossmember came right out.
Torch or plasma could have made it faster. I didn't have ten minutes invested in the crossmember. It was all the bolts for the triangles and mounts that took time.
doh!
