Accidental k30

I have studied that a bit. According to the internet, 540 is the max lift you should do with the OEM head configuration. Marginal, but I'm gonna be a little conservative and go on the other side of fitment.

Stay under 550

or just swap the heads and go with .600 lift on the hydraulic roller. oooooooohhhhhhh

The benefit is they come with new springs, so the cam is cheaper. :)

My cam has .600 lift and peaks at 5200 RPM, it's a torque motor that falls off fast above that.

So this seems conservative on lift but also gets a little more duration on 110 degree separation.

So it says, 1900-5600. What does it drive like under 1900? Will I be lugging it under that or it just drives stock and generally likes to get wound up?

Aaaaaaand I have a 5 percent comp cams coupon and my PayPal is on FIRE to buy something lol

It’ll be just fine under 1900, that’s just where it starts moving enough air to “do work”

With 224/[email protected] you will notice the idle isn't quite smooth anymore but it won't be cackling away or anything.

Are you staying with a stock converter? Thats right on the edge of needing a converter or not.

Check out the lunati voodoo series. Comp owns Lunati(Edelbrock now owns both) although I am not sure if your coupon will work..

I have the on/off convertor with the left foot switch. I do like that it's not gonna be too wild it sounds like its gonna die at any second.
Will it shake the change in the ash tray? Or will it shake the can of paint?

Big truck, big engine, big tires, big cam. You have other trucks, this is a toy. Have fun with it...
You want lopey. The voodoo stuff will give you that.

Boughted.

Thanks for the insight.
I have the factory intake and parts off this motor for sale for what I paid for it. Hopefully that pans out.

Well isn't this completely opposite of your other trucks?

There's expectations there
