So what is it like, driving in the left lane a a drag strip, and a car passes you on the left?

Those guys have so much determination with those classes. What was the MPH? Had to be high for the ET...

Grew up around the corner in my friends basement. Down there his dad was hoarding parts to assemble a 331” sbc/toploader/9” ‘40 Ford Tudor car. On an old desk laid close to 15 years worth of magazines that had been neatly organized and stacked. As kids we spent hours pouring through those and reading about the Karmesines, Yarboroughs, and Arfons of the world. Lot of respect for that history
I enjoyed Bonneville as a kid. When I watched Worlds Fastest Indian, Eileen got tired of me saying "met him". It was cool.
What? You have never seen it? Great gear head movie. The 50s and 60s cars and race cars are worth watching it. Hollywood actually did a good job in it. Except for the transvestite. But it was in Burt's memoirs.
