Allis-Chalmers tractor purchase. Now, The Old Tractor thread. Post yours.

560 diesel huh? What a black eye for IH that was. I'm sorry.
I absolutely love them. I’m fighting myself hard, there’s a wheatland 560 for sale in North Dakota that’s tempting me to try out the new 6.0

New 6.0? What does that mean?
560s are nice to look at but that's about it.

Nope just what I’d use to haul it with. There is a guy around here with a 6.0 powered M, I’ll have to try and get a picture for this thread next time I see it

A friends "Mighty M". 4-53 Detroit (turbo feeding the blower) with an over/direct/under (Oliver sourced) feeding the M trans (re-geared). He has done highr 50's mph with it. The weights on the front are fake (wood) and is a tool box/ cooler. The exhaust has a cut out that he can control from the seat, either through the muffler or straight pipe.

It gets driven to every show (several hours away).

awesome shot @kennyw somehow I missed that one.

makes me wish I spent some time taking some more pics back when we were farming with the real iron.
all of the good stuff has made way to farming with plastic it seams.
all the old stuff just sits in the back of the shed, I guess that's the way it goes.

Care to elaborate? By my understanding, they tried to use the rear end from an M, and it would blow apart from looking at it wrong.

When that was sorted out, I thought they were great tractors though? I'm a JD guy mainly, so maybe I'm missing something.
