is this normal articulation for having 6" lift springs up front and a shackle flip in the rear with 2" lift springs?

that's all she's got, i want more...

Awful hard to tell how much she'll really flex in a natural wheeling setting such as you have pictured here.

Need a ramp of sorts and progressively move it up the ramp and give it some time to do its thing. You might be surprised.

AS Oatsk5 says to me all the time... "Get Rid Of that SWAY BAR" I NEED TO talk to Steve and the ORD Crew about some Disconects.
Here is mine with and Oatsk5 without.
That last pic is about four feet deep

You will get alot more articulation if you unhook it, once I unhooked mine, my tires started rubbing my fenders, and they were never close before.

The removal of the sway bar and also relocating the shackle mount and using a 7.25" shackle helped me tremendously.

Unbolt the swaybar ends and just zip-tie them up and out of the way for now.

Lots of people say to just remove it, but it will depend on how soft your springs are and how much bodyroll you are comfortable with on the street.

Shocks could also be acting as limit straps. Get it flexed out, and measure how much piston is showing on the "droop" side. You might be surprised to find that you've topped-out the shocks.

does doing that mess with your steering geometry any? it seems if you put it right it wont mess with the caster angle or whatever it is called. how dod you know where to put it?

swap bars are over-rated. i bought the drop brackets for it once i first lifted mine truck, and i never decided to put the sway bar back on. the ride really wont be bad. id try it w/o the sway bar first, if you cant stand it then get the disconnects.

I got a peice of paper and made a templete of the bolt holes and hanger hole, then just reused the upper front bolt hole, clocked the hanger alittle and drilled new holes. It didnt mess with how much lift or anything, sits about the same. This made the ride much smoother, lots more articulation up front, and is super cheap.

Ditch the swaybar... it's not a corvette... it's a K5...

you want flex?
Do the 52/56 swap... You'll be amazed
Kert (DIY4X) makes everythign you need to bolt them in.

flex is always sweet and a smooth ride is nice too. youve got a 4 or a 6 inch spring im guessing and do you notice any hairier of a ride on the street if it sees any? mines my DD and its like a cement truck because of my shackle angles.

well i'm putting a locker in the front this weekend so i'll go ahead and take the sway bar out then, but i might have to rearange some sheet metal

i already have a problem with my tire eating the fender, i guess it's time to trim
