Battery charger recommendations

What battery terminal do I need to replace these? One is cracked and hardly holding together. I have other wires going into them so what do I need to do and buy to make sure everything works as it does now connection wise

Looks like standard top post battery terminals to me. Should have no problem finding replacements. Quality? Who knows. Maybe make your own lol.

I prefer an auxiliary fuse panel if you have things to run off the + battery terminal, and might add more. A couple of items off the battery are ok (as long as they are protected via fusible link or fused) but as the number increases it gets to be easier and cleaner to run a separate panel.

You can get as complex as you like with them, such that you can turn circuits on and off with the ignition just as happens with the main fuse panel. At a basic level you have a block of ~6 or so fuses with terminals on each side.

Ignition control can be handy for things like electric fans, extra 12v power outlets, extra lights, etc.

Bro the first paragraph is all I understood. But I appreciate the effort to educate. Hahahahaha

I'll get some Oreillys terminals I guess. those other smaller wires would just clamp down with the battery cables as well in the terminal?

just buy some smash dies for crimping proper lugs and get those military posts linked... heck, you can buy solder pellets worst case scenario...

not a giant fan of "screw smashy" type connections for big gauge stuff.. might as well be these IMO...

I much prefer a properly terminated lug.... obviously not everyone has access to a nice compound crimper, but the smashies can suffice.... and solder pellets are easy to use too.. not legal for my boat stuff, but I've run it on tons of rigs/cars...

I liked those ones I ordered because I have those other wires going into the battery terminal. Now they will have their own home to be secured in... I hope

it'll work, but you could have just as easily properly lugged/shrunk the end of each wire, and connected them to a quality bat term.....

personally, I would tin the ends of your wires before sticking them in there....

Hahaha, I realize that, now. But these terminals look cool. Probably adds at least 10hp... and if they suck I'll head over to Oreillys and get some others

All batteries are the same weather you go to Napa, Walmart, or Autozone. There are only two major manufactures of batteries they just have different stickers on them. It makes me laugh when people say one auto parts stores parts are better than the other. They all come off the same damn assembly line, and they just put them in different boxes with different labels.

pffft, get me going on "cranking" batteries and "honeycomb tech"..... :deal: :haha:

as a marine guy, i unfortunately know more about bat tech than the average bear... :pimp:
