You have really out done yourself on this one. That is the kind of work you need to get into steady to make some serious dough. Hope you are charging a pretty penny for that piece.

Thanks!

Unfortunately he told me $200 max from the beginning, but I really really wanted to try a few new things.

At first it was just gonna be the big panel with the Apache in vinyl. But I kind of went out of my way to experiment with the words and buffing etc.

I think its easily worth double that. But oh well, it will pay for gas to go to the dunes Saturday lol.

I know lol.

At least I know I can do it when the guy coming with big $$$ says he wants one lol.

Take lots of pictures and have nice, shiny brochure waiting for that guy. Get him talked into more than he thinks he wants from the start... :)

Get some nice pictures of it in its final home, too. That should make it look even better.

Tell Him he can't share the price he paid as it will never be that price again.

You don't want to be known as the guy who works for nothing.

I bill 80% of time at 100$ an hour. I've done it that way since I was the GM at my fab shop, to now on my own. ( certain things arent worth that so I use my best judgement and be as fair as possible, but from scratch fab work, 80% @100)

Yup I know and already told him im basically giving it to him.

But he gave me a price, and I chose to try some new things. He is also a friend and not just someone random.

I didn't think id be able to do lettering like that, now I want to try more. :D

I would have paid more for my piece. :ignore:

Notice the revised lip around the reflectors. It was a redo.

Aww man! Now my phone is all sticky! :yikes:

I feel special. I'm the first person in the world to get a bead rolled dimple dye'd CJ5 panel by Deuling Designs!

It never got sent out. The dooder decided to redood it.

...and I am the first in the world to ever incorporate mixed media into the beadimple'd panel. :lombardi:

If that's not automatically his favorite part of the truck now he is just damn crazy. That piece is going to have everyone really stop and take notice, it brings the wow factor big time.

He let me keep that black one he gave me, and he snagged 50 business cards to keep in the glove box. So hopefully he can pull some guys my way to make more.
