BENDER stays in hibernation with me

Damn. I've been gone a long time. Your rig is awesome!
Thanks dood

No not me.
I am thinking about all the comments you got on how well your truck performs and you go an change everything?

Wasn't happy enough with it :D :haha:
In the grand scheme of things the changes were minor enough to not notice, unless you own the truck.
The rear is about 2.5" more rearward than before, which is 4" overall. The front is another 1/2 forward, which is about 2" overall. So the blazer is about 6" longer than stock. Really, I don't notice the length. Still does U-turns like my '17 mustang :rotfl: and drives nicely down the freeway fast enough to get a ticket. I have wanted to move the rear axle back more for a couple years, but it's never just the axle, it's always more. I wanted an anti-wrap bar and longer shocks for a while too, so that needed to be done. Moved some weight around in the back, got rid of the bench seat. Ran shocks up through the floor. The whole rear shock thing is in preparation for a 4 link and shocks (if it ever happens) but at lease the axle position and shock hoops are located correctly for the future.

The front ORD 52" springs and slower valved 7100 shocks was a nice touch. The springs might be a touch soft for me, but I bought them second hand for a truck a little lighter than my own. The body roll is a lot more than my old TCHD 4" springs, but once you feel out the truck, it's not a big deal. The front hoops are perfect for now but wont fit a 16" coilover. Honestly though, I don't see the suspension changing any time soon.

Next step is get my 40s to fit. I already have them and my 37s are bald. But of course its never just a tire change. :doah: I want 5.38 gears and I NEED more fender trimming :( The front marker light area and backside of the rear wheel well is in trouble. :D

Actually, I'm pretty damn happy with the 700/241 gearing now. Unless I'm on a hill for a long time, the trans temp stays good. The more attempts, the hotter it gets, maybe 210-220 after a while. If the gearing was lower, like a doubler, that might help, more if I ran radiator tranny cooler PLUS external cooler. The 4L feels very controllable on the rocks.

The 5.38s would keep the 700 happy on the street and might help combat freeway hills with some extra rpm. The 4.88 will have to due for the time being though, I don't see myself buying anymore 37s.

I wish to someday wear a set of tires down on my rock crawler the way you have.

#tiregoals

hahahaha
I don't think I've ever seen another set around here as damaged as mine. #1 reason I try to buy used. The tires don't last any longer if they are new, just bigger chunks fall off. This set has lasted 2 years :D
