BENDER stays in hibernation with me

In all reality it might not be as nice on road. But the ORD springs are way better than any off the shelf spring so I think you will see improvements in most areas.

Just putting this here for future reference lol

Old out, new in. Boy these new bushings are massive in comparison. Old ones were new few years ago and are loose now.
Also found I had broken a centering pin at some point. I can't think of when, but my leaf pack is bolted together with another bolt (because of the zero rates) so it's not automatic that I would notice. Getting it out wasn't nearly as bad as when the D60 stud was broken inside.

So I'm in the 3rd whole from the front with these 52s and Kirt's mounts. I'm also using some 6" shackles. Leaving the frame eye mount in the stock position.
These ORD 52s have a center pin 24.5" from the front eye. (I bought these new but 2nd hand, think they were ordered that way) With this set up, the axle is 1/2" forward from stock. I also measured 52" straight across and checked that my shackles wont bottom out on the body mount, they come close but do not. So I hope my shackle angle is optimal for all three.... stuff/ droop/ and ride. Since the axle is 1/2" forward from stock, this means it's about 1" REARWARD from where I had it previously. I don't think you can see by the pictures, but my tire wear on the inner fenders with 37s was perfect. Tiny bit in front, tiny bit on firewall. Sooooo where it currently is wont work.

So I picked up some new hardware and allen center pins for my zero rates. I will once again be using them to move the axle forward 1.5". This will net me a total of 1/2" more forward than my previous set up. With the new 40s coming, I can always trim off the front of the wheel wells but not the firewall.

My concern right now is, I can move the spring bolt forward another hole and get about the same movement forward on the axle. This would also make my shackle angle steeper. I'm not sure at this point which is better. It would be nice to have the U-bolts centered over the axle instead of offset, but I've also ran it this way for years so why should I be worried LOL.

Of course this shackle angle is with the springs laying on the axle, no weight.

I think it's about 1.25" between holes. So you would rather see a more vertical shackle with no weight on it? I suppose with how much these are going to compress under ride height, it may end up looking like what it's at now.

Oh lordie I hope the compress. It's so nose high right now. I had maybe 4" between my axle and the bottom of the TC springs when I took the U-bolts off. These new springs are touching the axle! lol My 14" shocks look to be maxed out with just unweighted droop, no flex LOL

Yes. I'm not a big fan of large shackle angles.

Seems alot shoot for over 20° I'm more in the 10 ° range if I can be

I will try it out

Hey, not sure if you're on Pirate or any other boards. I'm looking for a discount code for ECGS. I need some new gears and even buying cheap ones is ~$500. (ps: I've been running cheap ones for 4-5 years now)

I agree, you need to move the front eye forward. On my 52's I'm on the forward most hole in the a-bomb and my springs have some arch to them.

Should be ok until the tire comes off the ground

Are your shackles going to hit your body mount? I suppose they can't get too much flatter?
