BENDER stays in hibernation with me

Kind of missing some pictures. The front shackle for the antiwrap is exactly where the CV joint is, hopefully giving me the best possible pivot/radius movement. You can sort of make out the cage tie ins. Removed the windshield for the fronts. Just a big plate burned in on each side. :D Now I don't get any of the rattles or body complaints I had before. (also, I previously got real cute cutting the dash around the cage and forgot they move independently, so they rubbed and made wonderful noises, the tie-ins stopped all that)

Here I have my bench seat gone. I tried to get everything I never move bolted down. I didn't want straps. I moved the toolboxes forward of the axle now, before they were tons of weight behind the axle. To the left is an ammo can also bolted down and full of spare parts. Left of that is a new fridge I picked up. Sucker works nice. It is half bolted down to where a 3rd seat could be mounted. It has 4 mounting points, like the front seats, but the fridge can only use 2. Under all this stuff is a large hoop with attachment points for everything. Nothing is bolted to the floor. The cage tie ins are tough to see but you can tell it's darker around the pillars.

All 3 ammo cans have always been in the truck, in various places and strapped down. Now they are all bolted down and filled with blazer only stuff. I still have my outside fold down tire carrier but only plan to run that if I have the 3rd seat in AND running the cooler where the tire is now. So, the pictured set up is going to be the standard layout now.

You can see my AC system on the left. Fill the bottle with ice and water, spray the inside of the truck down and yourself :D The horizontal tube going across the truck has two vertical tubes going down to the frame, right next to the body mounts. These have the current shocks mounted to them. If I go coilover/ links, they will be longer and mount closer to the top of the horizontal tube. :waytogo:

Also I want to mention I'm an idiot.
Way back in this thread I had oil pressure problems.
I didn't install the O-rings on the distributor. When I cut some new spark plug wires and cleaned up the engine bay some recently is when I found them missing. Installed and I have 30psi minimum. I had a sneaky suspicion I might have forgotten the O-rings last year, figured as long as pressure is good I can ignore the reading lol.

Also managed to climb this hill for the first time couple weekend back. I will attempt it again and get video of it. Not many people get over this, probably cause most people are either straight mud trucks or yuppies. Never seen a full size try and only a handful of smaller trucks/truggies. Bender has always wanted to get over, just bounces bad and looses traction. With the slightly longer wheelbase and antiwrap bar, it didn't take much to get over. Also, THE WIFE WAS WITH ME!! I told her I wouldn't hit it hard and luckily I didn't have to. Was happy she went over with me. I'm sure she's the first Asian LMAO.

Skip to 11min to see one of my failed attempts, over the last 4-5 years.

Just noticed, while walking by the truck, a puddle of coolant on the ground. Haven't investigated much, but looks like 2nd Griffin radiator is leaking now too. I just replaced the last one that leaked, this one has less than 300 miles on it.

That makes 3 Griffin radiators purchased, all 3 have leaked.
Going back to stock BB radiator

I had a Griffin exact fit radiator that I think actually was leaking from the get go. It was leaking from the core near the top so after I leaked down below that point I didn't notice it any more. During hot weather I noticed temperature swings while sitting at a light. Check the level in the radiator to find it low. Time for another radiator. Rediculous considring how much the Griffin cost. I decided on a Mishimoto replacement. Half the price, all welded, runs cooler. A heck of a lot better radiator!

Exact same problem on mine. 3 identical ones.

Redemption!!!!!
Took me several attempts over the course of 5 years but I've done it. I've posted failure videos of this hill before. Feels damn good to put this behind me. For sure the slightly longer wheelbase and antiwrap bar has helped! The list of failures is getting shorter :D
