Bertha, picking up where Shewheeler left off.

Made some decent progress yesterday with Avery's help :woot:

I got the crank spacer tapped into the back of the crank and the tranny back in. And Avery gave me four new holes in the frame for the new trans crossmember location for my birthday :haha: And we got the engine crossmember back in .

Avery couldnt really get any push up on the drill so he had this idea :doah:

It worked great!

And the crossmember back in place :pimp:

Lets hurry up with all this LS swap, trans relocation, spacer blah blah blah stuff and get on with the good stuff.... tube. :)

I put Poly body mounts on my k10 a couple years back... then I think it was less than a month later I was doing my sliders and said forget it and welded the cab to them. So yeah, that was rather unproductive. :)

The mounts it has now are the original and shot. I just want the cab in the correct spot before we start putting in the tube :D

And the crossmember back in place :pimp:

Lookin good

and I can see the pink paint where the tie rod is chipped :thumb:

Tightened a bunch of bolts up and got the rear drive shaft back in this morning :woot:

And on to the next dreaded possible epic battle, getting the headers in :frown1:

Which Im really shocked fit perfect. The only slight interference is with a heat shield under the cab on the passenger side.

Schoenfeld 1302LS1 :woot:

Gonna just slip race bullets on em with turndowns and go.Prolly wont even be that loud :haha::haha:

Looks freaking awesome. I'll hear u coming for the next parts swap:)

For sure :pimp:

Put the front shaft in to do a quick clearance check. I could get a little over 6.5" of up travel before any interference. So Im way good because there is only 5"ish between the top of the dif and the engine crossmember.

Im so happy I dont have to spend a bunch of time on the headers that Im going to dimple the poo out of something this evening :pimp:
