Bertha, picking up where Shewheeler left off.

Thanks again! Parts should be here Friday, but Im still a little pissed at Ballistic.

Almost 40lbs x 2 :pimp:

That was back in the days of CHAZZZ MOOOOOOORAY, O.D.ing on bacon with Burt4x4, and drinking Petron in Hollister :pimp:

I miss those days!

Thanks :thumb:
you just made me chuckle. CHAZZZ MOOOOOOORAY!:thumb:

Well God help you if you ever have a real problem with your Ballistic Fab order

They shipped fast, but f*ck them for their bogus 20% off sales and ignoring my emails.

And to top it off ...

The mounting holes on the caliper brackets are slightly under size so I gotta deal with that too :flipoff1:

What size is this hole?

What size is this hole?

Common burn table problem, can be from different reasons but overall poor quality control to let that ship to a customer. That would never come off my burn table and ship like that...

Uh from the looks of it frizz.... I'd say that's their Garfield hole. I think that actually cost extra.

It seriously looks like a Garfield the cat profile!:doah:

Iv always heard Ballistic has bad customer service.

I can't believe they are still in business.... People have been posting horror stories about them for YEARS! :doah:

Kind of figured they went the way of Daniel at USA6x6....

Life is too short for bad vendors.

Agreed. Especially when you figure Dan at Ruffstuff puts out a solid discount code for pretty much any excuse he comes up with lol and his parts bring the beefcake

The dumb stuff ya gotta do when yo computer can't hang with Mastercam :doah:

Make a 1:1 out of poster board. Lay out all the holes with dividers and a compass, measure all the X and Y dimensions for every hole from zero, take those dimensions and punch a pattern piece with .250" holes, clamp the pattern piece down to the table, load the real piece of sheet metal, and punch out 35 2" holes in under a minute.

I love my turret press :pimp:

From paper.

On the way to 35 more HP

The piece had a little curl to it before I started. Bit it won't matter when I clamp it down and weld it in. Gonna dimple it tomorrow if I have time.

Looks good.

Go google a program called "DraftSight". It's similar in nature to mastercam and autocad.
Free program that's handy for what you were doing. Layout arrays and print out 1:1 on yo' printer for handy dandy templates.

I would have said Mickey Mouse. It has the ears *and* it's a mickey-mouse job.

At least you got product from them. My experience with Ballistic was that they billed my credit card, shipped 2/3 of the order like a month later, and then back-ordered the other 1/3 until several months after that.

1-1 templates printed on card stock or poster board is the way to go if you can't have it cut/cnc.
