Black Betty - Formerly Blaze the Monster Machine

1984 K5 Project for Dad and kids
big block; I have never had a muscle car. kinda think sometimes I would like to have one

Ouch. Nice k case someone here might be looking for one. Got the cover and braces?

Never considered that jack to do transmissions for that reason.
I want with dedicated HF trans floor jack.

That transmission did not want to come apart. Even when it was 2" apart from the engine it was still stuck to the engine. I pulled the floor jack out from the transmission to put weight on it and it still wouldn't come apart. So I got mad and pulled the engine and shook it real hard and it eventually fell off. The bell housing was missing a huge chunk out of it when I bought the truck so it’s not worth much.

No cover but I have the brace.

That trans jack works fine for doing either the t case or the transmission but definitely not both. I’m debating seeing if I can rent an actual trans jack for when I stab the 4L80e. That thing is a beast.

I liked it be cause it had the wider stance the 800 look like 1 pebble under a wheel and timber ........

700r4. Might need a rebuild. Worked when I bought it. No low ballers. I know what I got.

It’s going to the scrap yard tomorrow. Just draining fluid from it and found this and chuckled.

Didn’t come with the bell housing cover but I’ve got the brace and the bell housing was missing a big chunk out of it. Like I said, there was nothing worth saving in that pile of stuff.

3 days left of summer and my daughter said she was bored. She got put on clean up duty. Got the garage cleaned up and her and I pressure washed the engine bay and under carriage again now that the drivetrain is out of the way. Need to pick up bolts for the converter and bell housing and a transmission mount but the plan is to have the new drivetrain bolted in end of this week.
