On steelsoldiers.com I've read a few peeps used HD jumper cables connected to their batteries and a stick weld rod to fix stuff on the trails. They said it works... Kinda...

Yep, I've done that before too. The ready welder should do a lot nicer job.

That picture I posted above was 3 batteries hooked together with jumper cables and a vice grip to hold the rod. He properly fixed the trail repair when he got home and said it was welded on good after our fix. Not the best setup but easy to carry some rod and about everyone has some jumper cables if needed.

I am using my readywelder to finish the semi. Have ran 20 plus rolls of wire through it over the last 8 years. Bought it after a spring hanger broke on the toy hauler in the middle of the desert. Never wanted to deal with that again.

Yup! Sure did!

Some guys on here saved my bacon with battery welding on my rig's maiden voyage. My steering arm came disconnected from the knuckle. Some grininding and a good person running the welding rods. Drove it back down the trail and over 200 miles home the next day with zero issues.

Tech - no trail but Eric and I will be running it
BFE - you will kind of be on your own
Newby Run - will be Stephen

Saturday
Dome Plateau - ktm

Crack-n-Back - r3ddog, d d m, dickeysK5, ssyork

Trifecta -

Moab Rim + Pritchett - Brandon

Pritchett -


Sunday
Metal Masher - Powder Puff - is MrK5 and Mrsk5 (that's rather cute), ssyork, ddm, ktm

Wipe Out - Dickeysk5

Pritchett - r3ddog



Two for each trail would be nice

We now have no one for Trifecta but the three left to run Pritchett may be switching to run Trifecta.
