Blazer Bash 2021 not Last Minute Thrash

I ran last year with no plate and had a cop checking me out on the way to Pritchett. I was figuring I would have to get a paper tag today but was able to get away without emissions and go straight to license plates.

What the heck? Apparently lots of us have plates due around now? My wife just picked mine up at the kiosk yesterday morning.
I still don't have my front plate on after installing the winch last year though. Thus way I won't bend it on a rock since it rides in the cab.

Glad that @70jimmy doesn't drive his old work car around my town..

Long story on my part. Stupid really.

I have all kinds of time now. I did not make my departure deadline for California.

I built a cover for my DD over the bed portion of the utility bed. Need to get the stuff to BB without it walking away at a hotel. Went for a drive yesterday to work on a food truck. (I had taken the day off). At 45+ MPH, the panels fluttered. Bad. It sounded like it wanted to fly. The cover is not water proof yet, so everything has to be in plastic tubs or wrapped well.(not done yet) I did not have the Jimmy loaded. And we were supposed to have rain all through Tennessee today. So first 8 hours would have been in rain.

I have realized I do not have the energy to thrash to get gone. Then drive like an idiot for 3 days to get to Flagstaff.

So I am a home. Drilled all of he rivets on the cover and I am bead rolling them for rigidity.

I also realized I did not get the JB Custom fab cards and stickers into the goody bags.

The good thing about this? My clients all think I am out of town until the 18th. But then I will be slammed when I get back.

Sorry you missed your reunion. But very glad you’re not going to burn yourself out now. :saweet:

I only registered my K5 to do this run, it's due on the 8th every year. I usually don't get my updated sticker till after I'm home lol
The trailer is on it's 2nd trip to Moab without being registered also. It's almost impossible to get an appointment at the DMV so I just run with the paperwork for the appointment confirmation.

250.0 again today.

My reaction to seeing those type of cars has changed since I retired. Especially when they turn around to come and talk to me.

That's why we had everything in totes. It was hauled in the back of the crew cab with a tarp over it. On the flip side we also don't get the rain here like TN.

Hey @miniwally both diffs had rightstuff on it. :rotfl: front got it again cause no one stocks a gasket and the rear got gasket with a little silicone to hold it in place.

When I rebuilt the rear diff last I forgot a bolt snapped off in the housing... The front was when the shop built my diffs, this was the first time I have popped the cover off and it looked brand new 5 years later with only 90% Moab miles on it.

I am still using the totes. The cover is so i do not have to carry everything into the hotel each night.
