My steering is 90* off but the tie rod has a nice bow to it.
That means it's adjustable, right?
I was thinking you sheared a rear pin?
Hey I saw that tie rod! I thought that was to clear rocks
Had my power steering return pull off while on Kane creek. New clamp and a quart of fluid let me drive off the trail. The fluid was frothy though so I had to roll up my sleeves to steer. Luckily it was near the end so all the technical stuff was behind us. Back in town we popped it up on jacks and bled it properly.
Today after unloading from the trailer I started cleaning and checking thing over.
I almost had a catastrophic failure -
License plate took a direct hit.
Also noticed it’s time for a skid plate.

driving down the highway I blew a plug out of Pigeonrat.
Made for quite the loud explosion and bright flash. I'll probably need new underwear too.
After pulling the rest of the plug, it looks like it was never threaded all the way in.
That might explain my misfires though. Hoping this solves more than one problem.

Oh, and BYT threw another U-joint, broke a brake line and had multiple fuel pump issues.

Fuel pumps seemed to be the theme this year. At the peak heat of the day I could hear mine screaming.
Let's see I tried three different high pressure fuel pumps for the Command Center, two low pressure mechanical pumps, and an electric low pressure pump. I ended up buying a high pressure pusher electric pump to mount on the frame rail, and then purchased the backup for that one on my way home.
I also just ordered an in tank fuel pump to fix all my problems.
Grand total 9 fuel pumps...

I kept expecting mine to crap out but it never completely quit. I need to do the in tank pump upgrade also, along with others.
Do it and never look back. ACdelco + TBI tank + sender = win
Yeah the common fail point on the fuel pumps in Moab was those that were outside the tank were having problems. The heat was brutal. As hot as it was inside the cab of my truck I can only imagine how hot under a truck with the heat of the exhaust and engine cranking it up a few notches.

The command center has a regulator and return.
I used the stock sending unit and fuel pump from a 97 suburban. This is in a stock 70 Tank. Works great after I made sure I had the right psi pump for it. Been running the same one for about 7 years.
My Fitech has an internal regulator and I run a return right off it. Might be worth looking into your model and seeing if it does the same.
Mine has been screaming at me for years. Maybe when I move the tank I will put it in the tank. Kind of like that idea.
I’d be interested to know if the pump failure trucks did / did not have return set ups.
