ITA has been submitted to the county. I've been in contact with the new event coordinator over the last couple of weeks and she's been super helpful along the way.

I may not be at BB this year, my kid is into Mountain Bike racing and has a race that same weekend. There's a chance I'll be one of the coaches as well so right now I'm up in the air about BB or mountain bike race.

Little update. Working through all the paperwork to keep things rolling. BLM required redoing all the permit info due to me taking over from Wade. All is complete, but it takes time for them to give the official permit. My contact is certain of the approval and has reached out to my contact at the county to assure them the permit will be secured.
My contact at the county is aware of the current situation I have going on at home but final approval won’t happen until June she said.
The process is slow but still chugging down the line.

To those following this, it has been more than I dealt with. Rob has a longer time to do it which is benefitting him. But the amount of time spent is ridiculous.

Making a bump, trying to figure out plans to make it and what I'm exactly doing. This year will be different for me.

Welcome to the awesome event of Blazer Bash! Begin to look up a place to stay ( airbnb, hotel, or camping). Try to find a place near Old City Park is where the dinner and most trail meet ups happen. CB radios are still used but slowly changing to ham radios ( iv been using a rugged radio) typically hot so bring hats sunglasses and sun block. Bring spare parts for break downs Don't forget to bring wads of cash for the raffle items and a **** yeah attitude!

Is there a good place for primitive camping close by? I had been looking into the rugged radios at one time so may need to go ahead and get one. Is there any night time riding if so I’ll need to upgrade my lighting too.

If you get a $30 china ham radio (baofeng or equivalent) heres the magic frequency list. Rugged is on these frequencies. If people are on open frequency (no privacy codes) then everything works together.
I have the frequency list loaded into Chirp software on my laptop. I will set up anyone’s Baofeng radio in about 5 minutes. Just need to let me know.
I have this one saved in my Amazon lists. I remember someone saying it was a good one. For any one looking.
