Blazer is really done. Last pictures while she is still mine.

Very nice job Kert. Are you going to weld around the outside of the extension tube? I think your welds look so nice it would look better if you did.

Very trick cover Kert...they look industrial, real cool man! :thumb::thumb:

How many hours to build it?

Oh yeah one more thing...nice welds.

That is my least favorite type of weld to do with the tig. I've never really gotten a good hold on it and kind of avoid it if I can. Also, just thinking of keeping things clean as I can.

i had a set valve covers like that on my 80 powerwagon, loved those things.

What motor was that?

Thanks, I think I'm definitely my own worst critic. I look at every weld I lay down and think it could be better. My own curse I guess.

Probably around 6 hours give or take in the first one. Second will go together much quicker.

Those look bad ass. Mine are constructed very similarly. Only real difference is how the sheetmetal meets the base ring.

Valve cover installed. Pics tomorrow.

Got the plug wires all rehooked and now I think I can start the thing up again. It's definitley in need of a good washing.

Kert I like the v/c's, I'm also a fan of the fabricated "raw" look. Do the hold down bolts washer heads fit flat on top of the welds?

I bet it'll be good to hear Veronica talk to ya again...

Flat enough that its not a concern. I had thought about bumping the top with a mill bit but the Bridgeports are carrying fixtures right now and I didn't feel it worth a tear down and set up.

sent it off to my Tshirt people and had them embroider it on there. Kinda left it up to them as the best way to do it since I didn't know what would hold up better.

When you getting rid of the exhaust wrap and coating those headers. It will look tons better and run tons cooler and last tons longer
