Looks good! Have a good trip. I'm going next yr!
Nice, where do you buy them? All 4 of the pickups are the type that close off when air is introduced. They have to be submerged to be open.
I should have figured as much, unlike me you don't seem to be the type of person to do anything half-assedUnfortunately, I didn't take more pics of the shaft construction. The plate has a hole in the center that the yoke fits in. Yoke goes through the 1/2" plate, half way and then there is a full circle bead on the inside of the flange.

Hood vents
How big is your fan on your radiator
did you get the air out of the system
I don't remeber cuz I really didn't look when i was under it but do you fans push the air down?
Not that redesigning it is what you want but, anyway to get colder air from the the top and pushing it out the top useing the idea that hot air rizes.
I know your exhaust exit under the body so the sucking air from underneath would be sucking some hot air.
Yep, hood vents would be great and gona try to make something happen there.
Dual 12" fans that worked flawlessly on the previous build, could do the windstar fans. I'm not convinced the fans are the culprit. I think the radiator is not large enough or efficient enough with the current engine. I'll try the rad first. I really don't want to redo all the radiator mounting so I'm crossing my fingers I can find one the same size in a double pass. I may also try some duct work to get more fresh air into the rad. If I do have to redo all the rad mounting, I may do two radiators.
We did get the air out of the system, it still wasn't quite enough to stay cool.
