Blazer's 68 Nova "Stephanie"

So firewall issue

How do I fix that ?

And

Do I keep the heater?
Do I keep the windshield wipers ?
Heater works, only with a toggle switch.
Wipers work or at least they did 20 years ago.

Are you talking about the rust or a clearance issue?
If you are good with body work I would blend everything clean.
I tend to leave stock equipment like heat and wipers but the rust and the wrinkles I would smooth

Wipers and heat I would keep. To be somewhat legal for the road if nothing else.

That crack pic? What is that dried up seam sealer?

Nope doesn't need anything anymore we have no inspection and its getting classic plates so no-one is going to care.

It was seam sealer that has since dried and cracked so it is not sealing anything.

So can I weld the the seam together ? Well I may not be able to weld it......... but can it be welded is what I should ask.

Just talking about the separating seam. As well as the crease / fold in the tunnel.

I ditched the heater and wipers on my last build in the Regal, I think I used either of them maybe twice in the 15 years prior to that. I haven't missed them.

No power steering, no power brakes, I ditched the thermostat too, I only drive it in the summer... haven't missed any of it, or the weight up front. Simplify...

So made a executive decision, going to wait on doing the floors. Seemed like a sensible idea. Get it running and driving so I can more it. Then get it in the possible soon to be built shop and do the floors wheel tubs etc.

Then I found this as I was wire wheeling the fire wall / front floor board.
