So did some work on this today.
Starter does not like being where is is so put some shims in it. Works a little better.
Got a tilt wheel from a 73, yeah, so like tons of stuff is different. Starter switch is the same but backwards, wires will move to make it work. Turn signal wire connection is different too. So going to have to repin the whole thing
I agreecool that it starts right up, but it needs some exercise to burn off that condensation and keep everything lubed up!

I had that before with bad coils that fail after a few minutes when they warm upSo a first for me. Connected my spark tester. Has spark, for about four revolutions then no more spark. So very interesting.
So I ended up just replacing the whole distributer because I have like five of them, because I did not know if it was the coil or the module. Started up and runs great after we reattached the vacuum line that we had off when we timed it.
