Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

That picture angle and the additional tubing give this a madmax look/feel. Kinda like the rig from Beyond Thunderdome.

Going to have to figure out what to do with the exhaust. Thinking about doing a 90 or 45 after the muffler and having it pointing down to the ground. Don't really have space to reroute it higher pointing it out the side.

Interesting idea

till they get hot and you lean/step/climb on them...and the slider looks sloped towards the front from that picture? actually let me change that.. it looks level with the frame and your front end looks low

yeah the slider is sloped with the frame. The rear end is higher then the front when I get coils in the front going to level either by lowering the front or dropping the back, or both.

Good point on the slider idea, thats not going to work now.

Learned a bit today. The flame resistant fuel line is not heat resistant. Tends to melt when it gets to hot.

Got another stringer put in, going to do the last one in the front on the passenger side next week so the one side will be done. Figure that it the only thing left on the floor pan is the driver seat so the passenger side should be fine.

Going to grind of the rivets for the other mounts. Something I have never done have always used a torch. Want to save the rest of the fuel line though.

3 or 4 slices into rivet head then grinder. Works good for me.

At least use a grinding wheel instead. Flap disc will take forever and wear out quick.

Hmm maybe stick with the torch then. Just keep the fuel line away. I had the issue trying to remove the stripped body bolt ended up having to torch it out.

Maybe soak a piece of 2x4 in water and put it between the fuel line and frame where you're torching.
