Use some of those thread inserts that you crimp in like rivets. Then you can just bolt your shifter plate to the square tube. (thread serts, threaded inserts) Google has them all over. Just make sure to antiseize your bolts so they don't seize in later on.

I want to attach the sides too so it all comes out together but thats a good idea though.

Oh gotcha, so just build a removable trans tunnel to go over the top of the square tube you have built?

It is going to go inside of the big square tube to the rear front seat mount. Going to weld on tabs to bolt it down.

I do think I am going with those nut zerk things for the shifter area.

So something I forgot to mention is I cut off the exhaust just after the muffler. The truck is a ton louder now. Going to have to re weld it and get it so it exits away from the truck so it is a bit quieter. Other thing I did not think about is, I want the fumes going away not under the truck cuz my youngest likes to sit all the way in the back seat.

I got some at fastenal if they don't have them.

So I went to Grainger and Fastenal and neither had any. Went to Bolt & Nut supply got some.

Went to my local ranch supply store and bought some nuts and bolts, they sell them by the pound, so much cheaper for the bolts.

Got the exhaust redone.
The tunnel area is done and bolted in.
I have one more piece to do passenger side next to the shifter boots. Then I can attach the shifter boot plate and maybe make the all one piece just not sure if that will work may end up keeping them three different pieces
Got the shifter mounting plate rebuilt it had a bar that went to the center console. With the center tunnel now remove able had to do something different. Built a bar that goes down to the bar that the shifter plate is going to attach to
