Any update on the time frame?

Scheduled for the middle of last month, however, Conway Freight lost 4400lbs for us and that threw a wrench into the plans because so much had to be remade right them and screw the production schedule. Soooo, we are going to be a couple of more weeks. I was going to make them with or without the insurance companies go ahead anyway.....

Dan,

I just sent you an email with a question. Love the brackets!

Thanks,

Josh

Dan,
You stated in an earlier post to use a 75 caliper and rotor. Is this the only year model that can be used on your disc conversion? Another conversion supplier states you can use 71-84 3/4 front calipers on his. I'd rather stick with yours though and stay away from the spacers.
caliper, rotor, brake lines, and new pads. Anything else for the swap? Do I need new hardware?
Thanks for the info.

I believe the '71 -'84 will all work but I have used the '75 so I am positive they will work. These will use the bolts that held the drums on just fine. With a Suburban you may just have to bend the brakeline to make it work, use a bender so you don't kink it!

It might of been discussed before and might have missed it. Will front calipers and rotor off of a C20 work? Might have access to a set for free.

If they are in the right year they will......

And measure the distance between caliper pin centers, 7 3/32's ~ is what you are looking for.

A couple of answers.....

First off our brake Brackets fit in a USPS Flat Rate Envelope so we can ship them for $5......

Secondly, the complete disk brake swap is easier than replacing wheel cylinders and drum brake shoes and takes 1-3 hours, depending on your skill level. And about skill level, if you haven't ever worked on brakes, find someone who has and buy him beers while he shows you how, I find having the brakes work correctly can be a good thing!

I have worked on brakes I just replaced my rear lines and wheel cylinders But I was wondering about the brake bias what do i do about the rear locking up be for the front and what kind of rotors do i need and will my stock 10B front calipers work with this setup?

Sorry, didn't mean to imply anything.....

A good proportioning valve can be dialed in to avoid the rear locking up first. The 10 Bolt and the D44 fronts have so many simularities being that the 10 Bolt is a copy the rotors and calipers may swap just fine, measure the caliper from pin to pin centers, if it is 7 3/32~" they are the same, that caliper was used on more than 30 vehicles. the rotor is off of a '75 chevy 3/4 ton.
