budget beater - . . . HOLMES 220 single line boom wrecker install starting ..

well it fired up and we set timing and verified it after a 180* t-stat cycle or 2 and she is locked on 12* on the tablet in settings and verified with timing light set at 12*btdc .

i think i have a dead spark plug from the old carb i was using and running bad so i am going to go get a set of plugs and install them as she has a dead skip and smells of fuel .

also monday we need to figure out the lack of a setup wizard option working . as it still shows the 323 cid engine and 58 psi fuel pressure on the setup wizard .

the tablet display is showing 37-38psi at 700 rpm and blip the throttle she jumps to 44 psi .

IT'S ALIVE :zombie15::zombie18::zombie3::zombie19:

long story short and tail between my leg's problem with skip was 6-8 wire swap some how in the wires that were labeled and clipped together and looked correct but were not at the engine end . my buddy showed up this morning before i got in the shop and looked it over again fresh eye point of view and found it .

so drum roll please ............................................. WOW is this kit so much better than the sniper from holley ever was . i have maybe 20 miles on it this morning and the truck fires off better / runs better / fells better / drives better / smells better / just hands down  better system 200% so far .

stopped at a friends place on the test drive this morning and he even said this thing don't smell rich anymore like the sniper did at idle with 400-500 miles on it .

my buddy was riding with me and watching the tablet full data screen and he said its almost like looking at his big snap-on scanner for live data . said my short term fuel and long term fuel are great already and within 1-2 points of each other . got my iac down to 9-11% when warm and my 700 rpm idle target is about spot on all the time . even in gear stopped foot on the brake its smooth . coming to a stop its smooth unlike the sniper catching its self all the time . and my foot pedal pressure is 98% gone even with there TB spring and my big return spring its light as a feather . i even had to re adjust my gas pedal th400 kick down switch by removing a chunk of rubber hose as it was now limiting my throttle from the previous sniper setup with its 7/8" linkage spacer i made .

THE EDELBROCK PRO FLO 4 IS OUT OF THE BOX BETTER ! ! ! :saweet:

Really Makin me wish I got this over my FITech... Glad you got it up n runnin!

my buddy was blown away at how fast its doing its thing and making changes to work good . even factory efi dosnt seem to be as fast at short term and long term fuel trim as this little guy does .

sell the fitech someone will buy it and get this sucker . read the pro flo 4 thread in the injection section .

I kinda want a carb... :yikes: Just kidn but maybe I'm not I do long wor the days where a screw driver would get my idle and air mix where I want it

Congratulations! I hope that it does well for you and all of us who bought one!

i am finding my self hitting the gas pedal to hard and bliping it like i did before just to get past the sniper hard pedal and sticky flat spot hang up .

this pedal is so smooth its not funny . i think its even better than tbi .

got tired of no heat in the truck today .

its so nice working on non heavy rust belt vehicles .

i was able to snake the loooooong ext and swivel ball adapter down under the a/c box and NOT have to pull the inner fender to get to the nut on the long stud . they were clean and no major factory over goop of sealer . someone was in there years ago as 2 screws were missing inside the box that hold the core half down to the big body of the box . but all the trucks i have scrapped i have screws . just need to hit the hardware store in the am and get some fittings to plumb my hoses with shut off valve for summer time no heat .

then it will be game on for the finish install work for the wiring of the edelbrock pro flo 4 system and mount the computer to the fire wall . she has been doing real good so far . need to play with fuel or timing as she pings under full throttle . i think i will get my buddy back up to help tune as i drive and he under stands more than i do .
