When and where is the " ranger" to be put to rest??? I'd like to go watch....

Depends, possibly my friends shop, or my brother in laws house..if its the later it will be a closed casket and private funeral.

Ill post up though.

Bummer is I may have someone who wants to pay me good money for it, so if thats the case ill have to go find another cheap/free car to crush.

Took the buggy out sat night and broke a couple things...

1. steering went to hell.. broke the gm 1 ton tie rod end. and thankfully I had a spare and the tools to ream it out. :D Then for the second time in two weeks I wasted the front straps on the 1350 driveline yokes. I was trying to do more wheelies but with the rain I had to hit it in 4x4 being there was a couple feet of water right in front on the hill. Came down on the front with my foot wide in it somewhere around the 9th or 10th time.

Finally got the 3/4 sheered bolts out of the yoke and drilled out the other and out a grade negative 3 phillips head screw in there and a nut:D The best part of the night was getting a ride to go fetch my 06 and I came down the wash like a nut, sideways, little air on the whoops and wide open.. people about fell over when they realized I was the same nut with the buggy:haha:

Went to leave and it was really hard to get back across the river, I was getting frustrated but almost made it.. then I realized I was in front wheel drive.. so the axle I was trying to limp out I was now flogging.:doah: So.. with my passenger and I now wet from the waterfall that was coming over the hood and on our laps.. popped in into 4x4 and got out of there.

So with the buggy waiting for a new u-bolt style yoke.. I got bored!

That ford was grinning at me..

Being it was getting dark, I decided two vids was good enough and this thing has no tail weight and it felt like a brick coming down. Fun though.. I am bummed to say the vids on this truck are over since I sold the seat out of it last night to the guy taking the video :( He showed up to get the seats and I asked him.. can you hold a camera?:haha:

And here is some of it on the rocks

This last vid was interesting.. hung up just right and ended up on my front drive line.. rear axle and my oil pan! The 1st of those two are no biggie.. but the oil pan was a shocker. I have a f-body camaro pan to swap but they are famous for running the motor dry of oil with climbs so it looks like will be shelling out some money for a nice baffled pan with gates and a remote oil filter from Kevco. Ive now hit the an enough that it has a crack and a light seep from it.

I wish I could see those night jumps....buggy looks like alot of fun.

Back to the steering problem on this thing. Originally I went ahead with a 1 ton tie rod set up, with a tie rod into it for my drag link.. I thought it would work out as it has for many others.. I thought wrong.

New set up is 1 1/4" hiems with 2" 250 wall dom for the tie rod.

3/8" tabs and 7/8 hiems for the drag link with 250 wall 1.5"

Should adds some beef. Waiting on my new ram from rockstomper and then ill be in business for this weekend.

Yup over at Eyman it wasn't all that bad, but I say that now cuz I'm out.

Makes for good conversation "what did you do in AZ when you lived there, I was in prison for 2 1/5 years ' always gets a raised eye brow or two :eek1:

So last night I get the call for fun.. but the buggy was apart. no steering, tire off, battery out and the dash apart:doah: Well 1 hour later its on the trailer and Im headed out:D

Get out there, start giving joy rides and the cowboy starts betting me money I cant scare his buddy:pimp:

My buddy shane comes over and help me get the cowboy properly strapped in. We trade his Stetson had for a helmet, direct him how to get out and where his emergency exits are located, how to shut it down if we roll, where the fire extinguishers are located and how to get them out.. Then I inform him its not insured and confirm he has health insurance. At this point he thinks I am a safety freak and the first turn out we tell gravity to take a hike and launch the piss out of it:D

Fast forward a chicks and another cowboy and one big ass jump with a dive dive dive submarine type landing.

Came out of the jump, down shifted and off we went.. I sweep my gauges like I do and panic and shut it off or it shut down itself "kind of a blur with my panic" ZERO oil pressure:eek1::doah::doah::doah::doah:

Pulled it back near the truck and up a hill the backed up the trailer to a ledge and coasted on her.

So go out there today and the engine will not turn over:( Not sure what went south or for sure if it did. If so it looks like ill be swapping in a new motor:doah:

Other then that little detail.. DAMNED good time:D
